My name is Naveeda Khalil and I am a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science graduate from the Manchester Metropolitan University. As a science graduate, I possess project management and research skills which are useful in helping to handle a project as big as the Gift Giving Project.
I started working on the project in June 2014 and have been involved in various activities and events such as organising steering group meetings, attending focus group meeting, and liaising with internal and external organizations such as MMU Xchange and the Pakistani Resource Centre. I have also been managing the volunteers that have been working on the project and organising focus group meetings to invite volunteers to come in and help to design and create promotional materials to be used in the Mega Mela event in July 2015.
I am also a student ambassador for the university and have participated in many events across the university such as Clearing, Open Days and interview Days. By having the role of a student ambassador and now, as a Marketing intern, I have grown in confidence and also as an individual. I have learnt a lot through my time as an undergraduate and believe that there is yet more to be discovered.
